Approach
The channel leading into Ayvalık Limanı is named "Dalyan Boğazı". Once up to Dalyan Boğazı, the beacons marking the channel are clearly identified. A red conical buoy marks the shoal water on the N side of the channel entrance.

Regional Activities
The Sand Festival which is annually organized in Ayvalık takes place at the Sarımsaklı Beach. This Festival, in July, lasts for 1 week. The festival to which many famous people attend is all about music and entertainment.
The marina on the lands where the first beauty contest in mythology was made. The motherland of olive and olive oil; the defining elements of the Mediterranean taste. Beaches famous with their fine sand, a breath taking scene of Şeytan Sofrası (The devil’s table) from where Aegean is viewed best.
A favorite route for family cruises including many sheltered coves. The most suitable place for swimming in Ayvalık is Sarımsaklı Beach. The other famous beaches are Kapri, Çamlık, and Aybar.
In the North and Northwest of Ayvalık are the Yund Islands. Biggest of them is Cunda, which was afterwards connected to the mainland and became a peninsula. The rich seafood of the Aegean is also found in Ayvalık. Cunda (Alibey) Island is very famous for its seafood and highly recommended for a visit. Ayvalık is very famous with its olives. Very fine quality olives and extra virgin olive oil are found in Ayvalık and its surroundings. Also pine honey of Kozak mountain is very well known in this region.
Ayvalık which is a very old inhabiting site and also unknown as Talliani or Kydonia, is an ideal ambiance to live the Aegean nature, mythology, and olive culture all together. Alibey Mosque, Biberli Mosque, Yeni Mosque, Saatli Church and Hamidiye Mosque are the main historical remains locating at the city centrum.
The guests of the Setur Ayvalık Marina can easily reach Bergama which is one of the best known antique sites of the world in the heart of Aegean. Kaz Dağları in Edremit is very charming for its nature. Picnic is available at Çamlı and Paşalimanı forests.
